Peter Madden

Peter Madden has worked at the cutting edge of strategy, policy and innovation for 30 years. As well as doing advisory, he currently works as Professor of Practice in Future Cities at Cardiff University, and Advisory Board member of Igloo Regeneration.

Previously, Peter was Chief Executive at the Future Cities Catapult , Chief Executive at Forum for the Future, and Director of the Green Alliance, as well as holding several Board positions, most recently as Chair of Building with Nature, on the Board of The Crown Estate, and doing senior roles in government.

Peter works across the UK and internationally to address high-level Board sessions and speak at major conferences.

Peter can facilitate futures, horizon-scanning and planning sessions with leadership teams and plan and run sessions with external stakeholders.

Advising and Consulting

Peter has done advisory work on futures, strategy, and innovation with some of the top companies in the world, including Apple, Levis, PepsiCo, Tesco, Sony, Trane Technologies, Unilever, and Vodafone. He has done futures with civil society organisations like Groundwork, Shelter, and Rockefeller Foundation. He has also worked on smart city strategies and sustainable urban futures with city leaders in the UK and across the world.
